Brazil House
Brazil House and Bru'd Coffee represents a dynamic culinary branding project that bridges authentic Brazilian cuisine with contemporary Irish coffee culture in Dublin. The project's complexity lay in creating multiple menu formats that could effectively communicate different culinary experiences while maintaining their individual brand personalities.
Brazil House required a design approach that celebrated the vibrancy and authenticity of Brazilian cuisine, while Bru'd Coffee demanded a more refined, sophisticated aesthetic to reflect its premium coffee offerings and café atmosphere.
Objectives:
Create distinct visual identities for two related but unique dining concepts
Develop multiple menu formats that serve different dining scenarios
Design cohesive branding that works across various sizes (A3 vertical, A4 foldable, A3 horizontal)
Balance authentic Brazilian cultural elements with contemporary Dublin café aesthetics
Transform menu items into visually engaging presentations
To achieve these objectives, I developed a comprehensive design strategy that respected each brand's unique character while ensuring practical functionality across all formats. The approach leveraged my intimate knowledge of Brazilian cuisine to ensure authentic representation, while incorporating elegant design elements for the coffee shop that appealed to Dublin's sophisticated café culture.
The result was a family of menus that successfully captured both the warmth and vibrancy of Brazil House and the refined elegance of Bru'd Coffee. Each design solution maintained its own distinct personality while contributing to a cohesive brand experience, effectively communicating the unique value proposition of each establishment within their shared space.
