This comprehensive design initiative focused on creating two distinct yet cohesive menu formats - an expansive A3 presentation menu and a practical foldable A4 version

Each designed to showcase Box 55's artisanal pizzas and gourmet burgers while maintaining brand consistency. The project required a delicate balance between visual appeal and functional design, ensuring that each menu would effectively communicate the restaurant's commitment to quality Irish ingredients and culinary craftsmanship.

Objectives:

  • Create visually appealing menus that showcase food photography

  • Develop a cohesive design system across different menu formats

  • Integrate brand colours with food imagery to enhance visual appeal

  • Ensure optimal readability and user experience in both formats

  • Transform technical menu information into an engaging visual story

To achieve these objectives, I implemented a collaborative design process that began with initial concept development and evolved through client feedback. The approach combined professional food photography with strategic color selection and typography, ensuring each menu format would effectively represent Box 55's premium dining experience while maintaining practical functionality.

The result was a pair of menus that successfully elevated Box 55's brand presence, receiving enthusiastic client approval and enhancing the customer ordering experience. The final designs effectively communicate both the quality and personality of Box 55's offerings, helping to position them as a premium choice in Dublin's takeaway dining scene while maintaining the welcoming, accessible character that makes their food so appealing.
